Claimed to have seen the Land of Little People and fairies. According to data released by the Yunnan Provincial Disease Control and Prevention Center, as of July 20th, a total of 12 people died from wild mushroom poisoning in Yunnan Province in 2020, while over 2,000 patients were successfully treated.

Yunnan is known as the "Kingdom of Edible Mushrooms" due to its unique natural conditions. While enjoying delicious wild mushrooms on their plates, locals also face frequent cases of mushroom poisoning, sometimes resulting in fatalities. The dangers of misidentifying edible mushrooms are starkly illustrated by the tragic consequences that can occur when eating poisonous ones.

Some people might be amused or even tempted to try these hallucinogenic experiences for themselves after seeing such incredible reactions online. However, others may view this as an irresponsible joke that trivializes life-threatening situations for clicks and views. It's crucial not only to recognize one's limitations but also avoid falling prey to false information disseminated by unscrupulous individuals seeking attention through sensational content.

The provincial health department reminds citizens: never eat raw mushrooms; don't mix different types; ensure they're thoroughly cooked before consumption; avoid unknown species; steer clear from rotten or burnt fungi; and refrain from consuming mushrooms mixed with other ingredients without proper identification. Such knowledge can save lives.

While humorously acknowledging our own ignorance is essential for personal growth, it's vital not to become complacent about what we know or think we know – especially when it comes to matters concerning life and death. Let us heed these warnings seriously rather than trying out "toxic fun" at our own peril or risking harm onto those around us who care deeply about our well-being.
